Happy 1st Birthday Josh

On Josh's actual birthday we celebrated at Cathy's grandma's house. Josh looks like he almost doesn't know what to do here!

Josh's cabinet

So we have this tv cabinet in our "blue" room, which is basically just a room to store things in. One day Josh discovered he could crawl in side, close the door and it was so cool. Now almost every day he crawls up the stairs and crawls into the blue room, and crawls inside the cabinet and closes the door and is so happy. He opens and closes the doors while sitting in the cabinet. crawls out and puts things inside the cabinet. I should have taken a video because still photos don't do it justice.

a week before Josh's real birthday, we were invited to Evanston to celebrate Annie's first birthday. as you can see from below, Josh is quite the ladies' man! by this time Josh was a bit more comfortable on the grass!

Hello? Can you hear me now?

Josh loves "talking" on the phone. We probably have a few other pictures on this here blog of Josh grabbing a phone (usually our cell phone) and putting it to his ear, and cocking his head to the side as he must see us do, and saying "yeah?" This time he found an old corded phone. *please leave a note in the comments if you still have a working corded phone in your home.

Snap, Crackle, Pop

We went to the Long Grove Chocolate Festival on May 2nd. Josh enjoyed eating a rice krispy treat dipped in chocolate (we ate the chocolate part, Josh ate the rice krispy).
