Yup, that's Caitlyn standing up by herself...lasted just a few seconds, but she also took a few steps on her own later too!

Caitlyn's first birthday will be on the 10th, but we celebrated a little early so all the grand parents could be there.

We read this book almost nightly, and Caitlyn points to certain pictures, as well as gets excited when Princess Baby is called.  I knew it had to be my inspiration for the cake.

 After lunch and cake, Caitlyn started opening her presents

Baby's got a new pair of shoes!

Caitlyn has been cruising for a couple of weeks, walking around furniture, pushing her walker everywhere.  I have even found her balancing on just her feet for a few seconds.  She isn't quite walking, but she is close and her soft soled shoes aren't enough for her anymore...they come off too easily.  So, we had a coupon at Stride Rite and decided to get her her first real pair of shoes.  **

**Josh had gotten his Spiderman shoes in the beginning of the summer I think and the left shoe had stopped lighting up.  I asked them if we could get replacement batteries, but they said that since his foot hadn't grown, he could just get a brand new pair of shoes!  Shoes, shoes, for everyone!
