So, today my parents move out of the house that my brother, sister and I grew up in. Though I haven’t really lived there for more than 10 years, and certainly consider our new house my home, I can’t imagine my parents living anywhere else. I know they are grateful it finally sold and are looking forward to the future. We had some great family dinners in the dining room and birthday parties in the basement. Plus, it was the first room I got to decorate, blue’s my favorite color! As we were packing up, there were many little things you don’t really remember that showed up, like the San Francisco trolley my mom kept pens in and the Cayman Islands turtle ashtray my dad used for years (thank God he stopped smoking!) It’s hard to believe you can pack more than 30 years of things in just about a week. Thanks to all the people who helped my mom pack, she surely couldn’t do it without you! I guess it’s really time for us to start making our own memories for our future family.
At the end of January, we travelled to Philadelphia to celebrate the wedding of our friends Rachel and Dan. Though the Eagles had been eliminated from their chance at the Super Bowl, the week before, we couldn't resist the opportunity to tour the field.
