Happy Passover

it's been a while since he asked to hold Caitlyn
This is the first year that we tried to do a Passover Sedar where Josh could participate...we actually had to use his Sedar plate puzzle to figure out where everything went...

A book I got Josh talking about the plagues...next year maybe we can act it out more...there are 4 participants

We only made it through a couple of pages before disaster struck with the grape juice.

10 plagues finger puppets, you'll see these again!

table is all set
Charoset, zest of Lemon made it delicious!

Matzah ball soup, made from scratch...much easier to make than I thought

Apple Passover Cobbler

Aunt Fran Potatoes...not quiet as good as she makes them though
And we had beef brisket from Dorflers, but I forgot to take a picture of it.
washing hands

10 plagues
and shortly thereafter there was a disaster with the grape juice and the sedar abruptly ended.

not Easter, Egg Hunt

a friend from Josh's class invited us to his house for an egg hunt. though it was cold, it wasn't raining.  And surprisingly none of the kids fought over the eggs on the ground
Sam on the left hosted us.  Posing with empty baskets beforehand

he had his basket almost full as soon as he stepped out!

overflowing!

snack time
dessert...these cupcakes had cadbury cream eggs inside! Delicious!

This gift from the party was DELICIOUS!  Jared and I ate the whole thing already!

Chucky Cheese

since it was kind of a yucky rainy day, we joined some local moms for a morning at Chucky Cheese...and confirmed why I probably won't be going there again.  It's too loud for me! among other reasons.  But you it's best to try things first before really judging...I did get these cute pictures.

Exploratorium

The exploratorium in Skokie had some great places to play.  This town, a jungle gym, a coloring station, a music station, a water station, and a toddler zone.  Josh didn't check out the dress up area though.
Thanks Mary, Olivia and Annie for joining us.
