Mommy, Cake Boss?

As part of the cake decorating class I'm taking (first decorating attempt above), I took a shot at making a frog cupcake.  I knew we were going to decorate cupcakes at class this nite, so I spent hours quickly checked out pinterest (you can see some of my inspirations here) for some other craftier people's successful attempts at decorating cupcakes with frogs.  This was a pretty easy one, just added some eyes and used a toothpick to make the smile.

Josh seemed to like it.

A LOT.  though he only at the frosting.

computer

Jared had a little work to do, so Josh decided to get some work done too

Not to be left out, Caitlyn thought she could update a  few spreadsheets too.

Remember when Josh was about this age, he wanted to play on the computer too!

Quiet Moment

we don't have many quiet moments of this energetic boy, but playing quietly on my phone while waiting at the post office.

Photo Booth

It's become a tradition that we try to take pictures in a photo booth while on vacation...

Unfortunately, it's also a tradition that it takes forever to upload them!  This is from back in May (6 months ago!) when we were in Disney.

The Mall...or are we bad parents?

We needed to get a new tire for my car and had a gift card from sears (from the whole furnace fire debacle), so we headed to the mall, and had a few hours to kill.

Then, we saw this thing where the kids jump UP and down on a trampoline, aided by bungee cords...we watched how it worked long enough that Josh really wanted to do it.

up!

He was high enough to talk to the people on the second floor of the mall.
In case, you can't see his smile, I cropped the picture.  He loved the experience.  Both our parents were surprised we let him do this...that they would never have let us do it.  I guess we figured he would be fine.
