Gabe came over to visit again and I caught these cute pictures.  I think Gabe's gramma Diana is great at remembering to take some pictures before we leave.  It's great to see how big the boys got in just two months!

Where josh takes soccer there is a weekly bounce house that is available.  We went on Friday since it wasn't that great outside. Boy was it crowded (spring break).  Josh kept chasing after the seven year olds for this ball and when they lost interest, he got to plan with it for a bit.

Chicago Botanical Gardens

The Chicago Botanic Gardens hosted a great event for kids during TV turn off week.  I didn't even know it was TV turn off week this week!  Needless to say Jared was happy.  There were so many stations for the kids to explore: a coloring station, a Bozo Buckets with a veggie theme, puzzles, scavenger hunt for different types of leaves in the greenhouses, and play dough cookie cutters in nature themes (think flowers and squirels).  I think this station was Josh's favorite.  They could help water the plants in the greenhouses, complete with a spray bottle.  When he was done with this bottle, he wanted to go back in and use another bottle.  Gift idea for Josh: spray bottles!  Who knew?!

Sunny Days

oh Spring when will you come to stay?

Today was about 40 degrees and sunny perfect outside (almost) spring weather, so we went outside to get a healthy dose of Vitamin D.

It was finally warm enough to play with the Car outside for a change.

Josh also go out on his bike, but his legs aren't quite long enough to pedal.  hopefully some time this summer.

At the park this panda bear is a welcome seat.

New Job

So it appears I am quite delayed in making this job related announcement.  I've done that before too!  Anyway, in August we were told that our division was moving to Ft. Wayne and my job was summarily eliminated.  I've been home with Josh since the beginning of the year.  I received (a very little) severance (because I had only worked there less than 2 years) and unemployment.  Plus I have my Mary Kay which helps to make up for a little bit as well.  Since we no longer have to put Josh in daycare, that's a biggest part of bridging the budget.  So things are good, but you can always help by shopping on my website or scheduling an appointment for a facial and/or makeover!

Good helper

we inherited some furniture from my grand parents, and decided to change the knobs.  We weren't successful in purchasing the right size, so that project is on hold, but Josh is always adamant about helping.  remember this one?

playdate with Linc

I was at a Mary Kay event on Saturday morning, so Josh met up with his friend Linc.  (Dads were there too, don't worry).  looks like they had fun jumping on the trampoline.

Friday was a rainy day, perfect to get out the galoshes and raincoat.  Still cold enough that we needed a hat and gloves, but Josh didn't seem to mind

when we spend any time outside, Josh has to push the lawn mower - it's his routine!

he even got out the golf clubs...I hope he won't be such a die-hard golf fan!
