Another Day Downtown

We found ourselves with almost nothing to do, and a 50 degree day in the winter, so we took the train downtown.  We visited Adam at the Union Square Holiday Market, and then took the Subway around town.

We also took the tram to Roosevelt Island.  Three different types of public train-type travel all in one day!

 We tried to go to Serendipity for ice cream but had a 90 minute wait, so we'll have to try another time.  Instead we were crazy tourists and went to FAO Scwartz on a busy Sunday in Holiday Season.

Of course, we had to visit the Big Piano

Happy Birthday Aunt Sara!

Sara and Brett came to New York for Sara's 30th birthday.  We got to spend some time with them in Manhattan and then they came out to check out our house.  We made a chocolate cake and sang Happy Birthday!

the preschool set has a bit to learn about decorating a cake, but it was yummy! 

Caitlyn and I found a carousel at the mall that had spinning teacups.  She loved going super fast!

Big Hero 6

We went to see the movie Big Hero 6.

Stamford Museum and Nature Center

It was a beautiful, albeit chilly, Sunday afternoon.  The Stamford Museum and Nature Center had a big trucks event.  But by the time we drove 15 minutes, Caitlyn had fallen asleep.  So Jared and Josh ventured on, while I stayed in the car with Caitlyn, reading a book on my kindle app on my phone!

There is a farm I guess.
