Day at the Zoo

it was B-E-A-UTIFUL today, almost 85 degrees and like the rest of chicagoland, we decided to visit the zoo.  We always manage to see a new exhibit here...one of the benefits of having a membership is never having to rush through exhibits to see everything in the day...we'll come back and see parts another time.  Since Monday was Green day at school, and they talked about alligators, and frogs on Wednesday, these were the two animals I wanted to make sure we saw...

Caitlyn was caught sleeping and Josh for the few minutes he stayed in the stroller

snake along the wall
the lizard on the bottom is a Chuckwala, a new animal to me!
This peach throat monitor really did seem to follow Josh as he walked along the glass.
of course, only after Josh climbed to the top, did I realize there was a sign asking please do not climb.

Did you know there are some frogs that aren't green; instead they are blue or yellow?!

perhaps this explains why we didn't see frogs in the reptile house.  See this link for better explanation
We also took a visit to the monkey house, but we've been there before so I didn't get any new pictures.

Some other cute pictures from our visit:

hamming it up before school

"Seriously?  I'm too cute for you"

too cool for the camera

one of few pictures of Josh and I...someday we will get a good picture of our faces

I'm gonna knock you out!
